Create a NURBS Cylinder.

Create an IK Chain.

Select the IK Chain Root.
Expand
the Objects attribute group. Click on the IK_Chain_root
attribute to select it.

Position the IK Chain.
In the
Right view, move the IK chain so that it is centered within the
cylinder.

Apply the bone deformer.
In the
Attribute Manager, select the Cylinder. Then, select the Edit
NURBS:Add Modifier:Bone Deformer menu item. |

Apply the bone deformer.
The Prompt
in the bottom left corner of the screen will ask you to select which
IK Root to use. |

Select the IK Root.
In the
Attribute Manager, click on the IK_Chain_root attribute
to select it. |

Select a Handle.
In the
right view, click and drag a marquis as shown to select one IK Handle.
Be sure you don't select the cylinder or the IK Chain. Just the
Handle. |

Move the Handle
In the
Right view, click and drag as shown to move the handle. You have
successfully set up a simple IK rig!
