Tag some points
Hold down the Command key. Click and drag a rectangle around the tip of the cylinder as shown.

Move the tagged points
Click and drag as shown to Ôtuck-inÕ the nose of our cylinder. Notice how only the tagged points move.

Create a sphere
Use the Shape > Sphere tool to open the Sphere Options dialog. Click the OK button to accept the default settings.
